Ross Korkmas, CEO
Ross Korkmas was named Chief Executive Officer of AllianceHealth Woodward in June 2017.
As the Chief Operative Officer at the Medical Center of South Arkansas, he managed several capital projects that enhanced patient care and access, including ER and outpatient therapy renovations and the addition of would care services. He also contributed to increasing physician and employee satisfaction scores. Ross was named to the Arkansas Business News 40 Under 40 in June 2017. The award is given to 40 business and political leaders under 40 years old who are set apart as the state’s rising stars. Ross was previously the Director of Facility Operations at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, Texas. He also held administrative positions at Medical Center of Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas and began his career as an Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Southlake, Texas.
Ross Korkmas received a Master of Health Care Administration from the University of Texas, Arlington; a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas; and numerous certifications in emergency, crisis and incident prevention. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Beta Gamma Sigma – National college of Business Honor Society and Rotary International.
Ross and his wife Kelly, a registered nurse, have 2 daughters, Madison and Peyton. Ross enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing and hunting.
Ben Brow, Chief Financial Officer
Ben Brow joined the AllianceHealth Woodward executive team in August 2016 as chief financial officer. Prior to this, he was the Assistant Chief Financial Officer and Compliance Officer at AllianceHealth Deaconess in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Central Michigan University and worked in Michigan, Tennessee and Colorado before moving to Oklahoma. While at Deaconess, Brow was successful in many process improvement endeavors. He was also called on to help with projects in several affiliated hospitals due to his ability to facilitate improved financial performance through automation of many data related tasks.
Ben enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and their children Bronson, Roman and Marlowe, doing home improvement projects and watching the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Michigan Wolverines.
John Brown, Physician Practice Administrator
John Brown has served in multiple capacities during his nearly 30 year career at AllianceHealth Woodward. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Medical Technology, Brown is also a Registered Medical Technologist (MT –ASCP). After serving as the Laboratory Director for 10 years, his experience allowed him to also work as the Clinical Services Director and the Chief Operating Officer at Woodward Regional Hospital. As Facilities Director and Compliance Officer, Brown is responsible for facilities management, life safety and regulatory compliance. He was named Nonclinical Manager of the Year in 2009.
Brown is active in community and civic activities and is married to Debra. They have two children, Julie and Jamin, as well as two grandsons Mason and Ethan.
Melinda Brock, Human Resources Director
Melinda Brock, Human Resources Director, has worked at AllianceHealth Woodward since 1997. She began her career as a Registered Dietitian at Woodward and has been in Human Resources since 2011. She was awarded Nonclinical Manager of the Year for 2010 and that same year was recognized with the Firestarter Award on a national level. She is also the Community Cares Champion and Volunteer Coordinator for the hospital. Brock’s passion for building teamwork and developing a positive attitude throughout the organization is evident in her job every day.
Brock holds a Master’s Degree from Oklahoma State University. When not working, she spends time with her family attending OSU football games with husband Aaron and taking daughters Megan and Allison to dance competitions across the United States.
Kim Nickelson, Director of Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance
Kim Nickelson’s first job out of college was working in the lab at then Woodward Hospital and Health Center. Then, for several years, she worked in small and large hospitals in Oklahoma and Kansas until finally she returned to AllianceHealth Woodward as the Quality Director in early 2016. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Oklahoma State University. She has been a licensed Medical Technologist since 1979.
Kim brings with her over 30 years’ experience in the lab and a wealth of knowledge in quality improvement principles. She works closely with the medical staff, department leaders and hospital staff throughout the facility to insure the hospital meets regulatory and accreditation standards. She supports the development and implementation of quality assurance measurements and promotes implementation of evidence based best practices.
Kim and her husband Mark enjoy spending time with their kids and grandchildren.
